Parsha “Speak to the entire nation of Israel and say unto them, ‘Kedoshim Tihiyu,’ you shall be holy, for I, your G-d, am holy.” (Leviticus 19:2)

The Midrash (Vayikra Rabbah 24:9) explains: “You may think that with this holiness that I expect of you, comes the ability to even reach My [Hashem’s] level of Holiness. Therefore, the Passuk comes to teach you that that is not the case, ‘for I, your G-d, am Holy,’ which teaches that my Holiness is above your [capacity for] holiness.”

There is a fascinating explanation to this Midrash regarding why we cannot reach the level of holiness of Hashem....

Parsha In Parshas Tazria, the Passuk (Vayikra 13:46) tells us regarding Tzara’as, “All the days the lesion is upon him, he shall remain unclean. He is unclean, he shall dwell isolated, and his dwelling shall be outside the camp.”

Rashi explains the words, “he shall dwell isolated” to mean that other unclean people [that are not stricken with Tzara’as] shall not live with him. Our Sages said: “Why is he different from other unclean people that he must remain isolated? Since, with his slander, he caused [discord and] separation between man and wife or between man and his fellow man, he too, in kind, will need to be separated”...

Parsha In Parshas Tzav we learn about the Minchas Chavitim. It was an offering that was brought by the Kohain Gadol which was composed of fine flour that was made into twelve loaves that were boiled and baked and then fried in olive oil. The offering was brought every day. Half of the offering was brought in the morning and the other half was brought in the afternoon. The Minchas Chavitim was offered to bring atonement for the sins of the Kohain Gadol...
